It’s Paris Fashion week !

Paris haute couture fashion week has always been for me the most awaited for fashion week because of all the art, craftsmanship and beauty that all the luxury houses worked so hard for. It is also a time where couture lovers travel all over the world to come meet and pay respect to all this incredible work.
This year, the paris haute couture week has been planned from the 5th to 8th of July and amongts all the 34 haute couture houses, 7 have chosen to show their collections at actual fashion shows and not just digitally. However, a lot of them continued to livestream their shows or even do movies such as Chanel who hired Sofia coppola for this fall/winter 2021/2022 haute couture collection movie.
Amongts, the luxury houses showing their collections this season, one of them is making a huge come back ! Indeed, Balenciaga has been absent from the couture calendar for 53 years therefore, everyone is so excited to see how Demna Gvasalia, its creative director, will renew with this tradition on July 7.

Without any further due, here are some of my favorite looks of the season so far !

Chanel – Gentle Romanticism at paris fashion week

As always, the haute couture Chanel Show involves the best craftsmen and Virgie Viard the new Artistic Director wanted to encourage their work in this post-pandemic Era. Therefore, the collection involved, embroidery houses such as Lesage, Cécile henri, Atelier Emmenuelle Vernoux, Feather designers Lemarié and Hat Designers Maison Michel. The whole collection was shown in the Palais Galliera where an exhibition about Gabrille Chanel : Fashion Manifesto was taking place, hence the deep inspiration from coco’s own aesthetic.

Dior – The Revival

This fashion week was also marked by Dior’s collection. A true revival of Dior 1950’s aesthetic mixed with the Italian Romanticism Maria Grazia Chiurri is known for. Nymph godesses walked the runway in pleated Organza Dresses amongts masculine/feminine looks emphasized by hourglass silhouettes.

Giambattista Valli – Le goût du louche

Le goût du louche by Giambattista Valli : “When you feel happy but not totally in control of the situation.”
This collection is straight out of Alice in wonderland, who doesn’t want to feel the joy of being drapped in a chiffon bubblegum dress by Giambattista Valli ? There isn’t a single piece in this collection that isn’t red carpet material. Here are my favorites.

And ? you what was your favorite Paris Fashion Week Moment ?”

Fashion is my thing, but I find beauty everywhere... It's kind of a lifestyle !
